The producers on American Idol 2014 seem to be sharing the love with previous winners of the show, as we have see Candice Glover perform last week and now Phillip Phillips performed on American Idol Season 13 last night during the results show. The American Idol Season 11 winner stopped by to perform during “Home” week, which seems fitting since that was his first single that gave him recognition in the music industry. Last night on American Idol 2014, it was supposed to be all about the results, but we know that is never how it works on Thursday nights. The performances take over the show and we see Ryan Seacrest trying to fill an hour of programming to deliver results that take two minutes to figure out, if the American Idol judges 2014 still have the save to use!
Phillip Phillips has been here before and gone through all of this during his journey on Season 11. He walked away the winner that season when he defeated runner-up Jessica Sanchez. He has gone to do some big things, especially with his first single “Home.” It became an instant hit when it was adopted as the anthem for the 2012 London Olympics!
Phillips has toured with John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen and now he is in the studio working on his sophomore album, which he shared his new single “Raging Fire” with us. Check out his performance here:
